Emirates Airlines Flight Classes

Emirates Airlines offers three cabin classes for all international flights, as well as two variations of first class cabin suites.

  • First Class Full Suite
  • First Class Skycruiser
  • Business Class
  • Economy Class

The First Class Full Suite offers passengers their own private suits with closing doors, a mini bar, coat rack and storage space, as well as access to shower-equipped lavatories and a spa. Check in Procedures for Emirates Airlines

Emirates Airlines allows all travellers the simple and convenient process of checking in online from the comfort of their own home, from their mobile phones, or via their website. Online check-in for flights opens 24 hours before departure, while it’s recommended that passengers check-in online no later than 1.5 hours before their flight departs. E-boarding passes can be downloaded or printed at the airport via the self-service kiosks.

If travellers have luggage to check-in, Emirates stipulates that they be at the airport at least 90 minutes before departure time, whereas if travellers only have carry-on luggage, to be at the airport 60 minutes prior to the flight’s departure.

If passengers choose to check-in at the airport, however, it is recommended economy class travellers be there 3 hours before departure time, while First and Business Class travellers be there 1 hour before departure.

Baggage Allowances When Booking Cheap Flights with Emirates Airlines

All long-haul flight passengers are permitted the following baggage allowance, as per their travel class:

Economy Class Hand luggage

  • One carry-on bag with the following dimensions: 55cm x 38cm x 20cm (length x width x height)
  • Maximum weight: 7 kg

Economy Class Check-in luggage

Passengers are permitted two suitcases, each no larger than:

  • Max. 23 kg
  • 158 cm (length + width + height)

Business and First Class Hand Luggage

  • Two bags: one carry-on
  • One accessory: e.g. a handbag, briefcase or laptop, max. 40 x 30 x 15 cm
  • Combined max weight: 12 kg

Business and First Class Checked-in Luggage

Passengers are permitted two suitcases, each no larger than:

  • 32kgs
  • 158 cm (length + width + height)
